This gorgeous rustic wall hanging has been handmade from New Zealand driftwood by Susan Evans. Featuring a sweet little yellow hand-carved and hand-painted fish, this is a real show-stopper with a lovely piece of gnarly driftwood, rustic rope and a pendulum made from terracotta coloured stone. The piece measures 58cm in length (including the rope) and is approximately 12cm at its widest point. This would make a wonderful one-of-a-kind gift or look perfect in a coastal themed bathroom! (Item: 2600)

Susan Evans creates toys, sculptures, and automata using all kinds of wood. They are mainly intended for adults but it is a bonus if children like them too. She uses acrylic paint, washes, and coloured inks to decorate her work, and carves using air-dried lime and seals her pieces with a matte water-based varnish or wax polish. After training as a teacher of history she was appointed to a job in Grimsby on England’s east coast. There she began her artistic practice by making personal gifts for friends from materials found on the beach: driftwood, recycled wood, and other found objects.
