Framed Sea Glass Heart - Green Scottish Beach Glass Coastal Wall Art

A sea glass heart picture handmade from beautiful pale green Scottish beach glass. The sea glass washes up on the gorgeous beaches in the East Neuk of Fife in Scotland.

The shades of glass included in this heart are evocatively known as 'sea foam'. Much of it dates back to the Victorian era and is known as 'mermaid tears'. When sailors were lost at sea, the mermaids would cry and their tears would wash up on the shore. The glass has been reshaped and smoothed over decades of tumbling in the Scottish waves!

Silver wire Celtic spirals have been added to enhance the shapes and colour of the glass.

This original art comes in a choice of two box frames. The white frame measures 17.5cm square and can be hung on the wall or freestanding display. The rustic wood frame measures 18cm square. (Item: 3688)
