Gorgeous sea glass hoop earrings, handmade from blue beach glass, Lapis Lazuli crystals and sterling silver beads. These sterling silver beaded hoops each have a beautiful nugget of sea glass, worn smooth and frosted in the Scottish sea.

Each hooped earring measures 3cm in diameter (1.2 inches). It's a lovely size to be noticeable whilst being comfortable for everyday wear. The added Czech glass beads give the earrings that lovely boho, beachy vibe!

The hoops open by gently squeezing. The 'catch' is not visible from the front so when worn it looks like a continuous hoop (see photo!)

The earrings arrive in a gift box and gift-wrapped with a free silver cleaning cloth, making them a perfect gift for anyone who loves the sea and it's natural treasures.

Lapis Lazuli has been chosen to perfectly complement the colours of the sea glass. Often ground down by artists to make pigments and used by the ancient Egyptians for eye shadow, Michelangelo used the deep blue pigment to paint the Sistine Chapel. Lapis Lazuli is known for soothing depression and insomnia as well as giving you the confidence to be your true and authentic self. All my jewellery is handmade in Scotland from naturally sea-worn materials. I love to gather these treasures while beach-combing on the beautiful beaches in Anstruther in the East Neuk of Fife as well as the surrounding beaches of St Andrews, Pittenweem, Crail & St Monans. Much of the seaglass dates back to the Victorian era and is known as 'mermaid tears'. When sailors were lost at sea, the mermaids would cry and their tears would wash up on the shore.
